How has #ThotAudit affected you?

What do you think will be the impact of #ThotAudit, should it become more widespread/ international or retroactive?
I know that this forum has encouraged everyone to pay their taxes, but wonder what the real threat is to the sex industry/ sexual market place trades?

There is no threat from these idiots cos they have to have personal information to file a report. Even if they did manage to report someone and successfully get the irs to check... most models dont make enough for the IRS to bother auditing... The whole thing is ridiculous. All our income from sites gets reported to the irs by the companies when they issue our 1099. If i dont file, the irs would be on my ass already.the only income i could forseeably get away without reporting would be giftcards and direct money transfers.

My best friends visiting me and asked me about this.

And I was thinking, while never been audited or have experience with it, "Well, if these people aren't filing their taxes then they already are on the IRS radar." But I've also heard of girls getting their bank accounts frozen while waiting to prove they're not scamming, which if true is totally not okay.

It hasn't effected me because I don't mix my personal life with business, but I feel bad for those who seem to be genuinely effected by it.

What they do is not an issue to people that pay their taxes. People been reporting other people for years, usually businesses this is why accountants exist. There's no threat to any market asking people to pay their taxes. My company gets audited every 2-3 years just keep clean books.

Who has been affected though? Is this something thats actually happenjng.. Ive seen no one actually say they've been contacted by the irs.

If they were successfully getting the IRS to look into girls it could cause problems.. being audited is no fun even if uve done everything perfectly.

But i just don't see how..???

You can report with just the email address I'm guessing. Your email alias get associated by the big 3 credit agencies so if you ever tied a bank or paypal or anything that would need to send in a 1099 about money given associated with that email it can be tied to you. I know I had all but one of my emails listed in my equifax report, even my college email account. I remember during an personal audit three years ago money I made on the internet from an account I specifically used a separate email for came up as 'unreported' the IRS even correctly mailed the information to me fortunately is was less than $500.

The whole thing is ridiculous and will blow over once the incels find another “movement” to stroke their hate boners to. Seriously, what are they going to do? You can’t even file a report with only someone’s stage name and with no legitimate prove that they are actually evading taxes.

If these dudes really cared about people not paying taxes, then they should be looking elsewhere, like oh, I don’t know, politicians and certain multimillionaires. Hell, almost every single bartender and server I knew when I was still in the service industry only claimed a very small percentage of their cash tips.

Thing is, this has nothing to do with people actually giving a damn about tax fraud. It has everything to do with hating women.

Kind of sad seeing a few people in my personal life Facebook laughing it on. Other than that, I can't see it affecting anyone. Us not paying taxes is what they want to pretend in order to have a reason to look down. Truth is, anyone with a brain cell knows an income with a trail means taxes are being paid. They look down anyway, and that's on them. Half assed trolling. I've seen better on a Tuesday night on MFC.

Regular camwork is not issue, income get declared, taxes calculated and it's pretty above board. Issues arise with direct sales of services through paypal, giftcards and other means which should be reported by cammodels when filing taxes but not always do. In US this does technically constitute a federal crime, namely tax evasion. IRS can barely do it's job now and likely won't care cause not enough income involved and even less proof.

Only caveat, the cost to government to pursue and investigate such things (if wanted, they can) would be ridiculous to justify though sometimes people in power do seem to have a hardon for targetting sexworkers in stupid, contraproductive and petty ways :S

Most cammodels will probably only get audited if their name gets picked by random or if they go a bit crazy with what they claim as business expences, I hope people don't overworry about this current news about reportings to IRS.

P.S. i only find the topic fascinating cause have accountancy background, this be my geek-porn

We don't typically use our sex work email addys for banking... since banks like to kick us out :p

From what I'm reading most this is more related to twitch streamers and bleeding over into formal SW models. Considering many twitch streamers public contact emails on their twitch or tweeter bio I would guess it's an easier to target association but again this is a non issue to professional responsible workers.

I mean just a search on here brings up 3 multipage threads on the importance of taxes with places and people that can help.

It's a 4chan scam that idiots started because they hate that chicks on twitch/reddit/etc run snapchats/etc in which they sometimes get off-record tips from their fans for their sexiness.

yeah, it's a good chance some of those girls don't end up reporting a bit of their "income" to the IRS, so the so called "incels" that feel wronged by this are trying to seek their revenge by reporting people to the IRS.

It's such bullshit.

Sure, I think it's bad for people to not report income to the IRS, but seriously this is such a lame attempt and a waste of time and a call for attention to the people doing the reporting. Guys making a fuss about reporting these "THOTs" are just as attention hungry as the girls they want to criminalize.

Just stop. Who fucking cares, man.

Just stop. Who fucking cares, man.
"But I'm standing up for justice. Standing up for what's right!"

But when it comes down to it, are you really? Or did you pick such a small issue that you could actually be seen as an "activist" by your shady peers?

Just like the Twitter trolls who try to come after cam models by going to the FBI (laughable, they have MUCH bigger fish to fry, ya morons) for raffles and such... you're not doing anything morally great. Sit down. Find a better hobby.

All of this basically started because it was revealed that a female twitch streamer who copystriked one of pewdiepies videos was selling panties on the side so the incels (lead by some obscure YouTube called Rooshv) are going after the thots, which in this case are girls who sell Snapchat on the side, any sex worker, female twitch streamers, etc. Its just a low brow attempt at harassing women who make money online.

OMG it was Alinity haters who started this?

Fucking hilarious.

She's pretty shitty, though. But even considering she's awful, the backlash is laughable.

Isn't she in Canada? I don't know how this would affect someone outside the US.
That's even more hilarious because yeah I think you're right.

This shit is making my head hurt. I just watched roosh's channel ..... i'm too old for this

Someone on the comment of his video said 20k people have been reported. Where? I haven't seen a single person say they got reported.

I feel really bad for the low wage workers at the irs who will go in tomorrow morning and have to start sorting through those 20k reports and weed out the ones who are actually worth looking into. These bastards think they are doing something worthwhile when all their doing is creating a headache

It would take time for reports to be processed, which they must be even if only to dismiss them. Funniest outcome would be if single guy filing multiple reports would himself get slapped with a fine by a Tax Court for frivolous time waisting of IRS but that would take alot more.

for worrybugs and doomthinkers:

YOU:
Again peeps, please do not overworry, if it goes really bad (like "damn son, this be bad yo" levels) and if you're in the wrong and reported and audited and found to be owing tax, it'll likely be fined as negligence and not fraud but even this would be very unlikely. A pain and nuisance to be sure but not end of world. If you ever get audited (reported or picked at random), don't panic, it happens all the time to all kinds of people, it's really mundane, undramatic and just boringly bureaucratic.

Y'ALL:
Realisticly the most possible of worst case scenarios based on IRS past behaviour is that the IRS picks one particularly juicy case with enough money involved, go full out and try to set a precedent, and more importantly to them, an example.

RooshV is the one who lives in his moms basement, right?

I don't know but I'm watching his video about this shit and his mom called him and he didn't edit it out and I found it pretty funny ngl

You could report a million people, all that matters is what the IRS is interested in acting on. Considering there was already people making business out of this for years I don't think an influx of new reports is going to get more agents hired. The largest form of tax fraud is still false files from identity theft and we're losing billions from that alone. The idea that a model not reporting million plus income would be too rare or at that point I think few would pity them.

I'm pretty sure that's running a form through a computer. The majority of the reports will get tossed out for not be associated to a person or people that aren't US citizens like in the case of Alinity for example. If there is an association then it will fall into two categories:

1. If the person skipped filing returns at all (I think if anyone actually gets affected it's because of this). They just run the social against all reported 1099 and if the number if higher than $400 the computer automatically sends a mail asking them to way whatever plus the penalty for time.

2. The person did file but the amounts of income are drastically different. Probably at this point it goes to a human revue of when it will get pursued. You have to understand the IRS can take forever to get around to an audit. I was audited five years ago for misfiling when I was in college more than a decade ago so they can take their sweet time if they do find something.

Three months since your last post, which was related to your involvement with MGTOW/Incel. Is this genuine concern for models? Or, is this along the lines of you posting to get a sample data of what the general concensus might be for this happening?

He’s looking a bit old to still be in moms basement too. He’s got a fair amount of grey hair. He’s obviously upset that girls who cam could get out of their moms basement quicker from the money they earn camming then be ever could from selling his books, being a YouTuber, and selling his game.

These people realize that cam sites send income info to the government in the US right?

And models generally use legit companies to accept cash.

So even if they don't declare a little bit of PayPal or cashapp money it's probably a small amount... Because anyone that's really truly making money off this is going to use those companies that report anyways because they cover shit like chargebacks.

Also that a lot of us take our payments through actual bank accounts. No matter what I use I'm either paid out to my American bank account which directly links to my Canadian one or I'm taking a check straight to my Canadian one. All stuff linked to my SIN number.

Most US models are not able to use any of the paycards available. Paxum no longer does US, SM pay doesn't do US.

This stuff is ridiculous. Not to mention those girls they think are making heaps off of their premium snapchat? Probably aren't.

The bottom line is most people in the US and probably Canada too are paying their taxes already.

This explains the sudden influx of “doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pay your taxes!” Tweets in response to completely unrelated posts the last two days. “I like raspberries” ... “THEN YOU SHOULD PAY YOUR TAXES!” Bitch I DO! The government probably makes a lot more off our cam girl asses than off ya’lls mostly unemployed basement dwelling selves. Do you even know the percentages we have to pay, sheesh.
I was getting a bit confused but I guess this was a bigger thing than I realized. And yeah... at least until recently Roosh lived in his moms basement. He’s the negging pick up artist guy who’s really just jerking off to how many other sad dudes worship him.
