I believe a couple of the "tko" models from MFC were recently arrested for broadcasting from a library. As this was the only place they ever seemed to be it was only a matter of time.

I never liked library, shopping mall or coffee shop shows as these are family places. The

True, but MFC is the only site I can think of where a girl being in a public place wouldn't immediately get her shut down/banned from the site. It's forbidden/strictly enforced on pretty much all camming platforms except MFC, and even there I believe it's technically against the rules... but we all know how MFC is about selective enforcement, and public shows are a big money maker.
It ought to be strictly enforced on MFC too. Not just because of the potential liability on MFC's part, but also because MFC owes it to the girls who choose to work for them. I know cam girls who hate to be recorded, but the usual traffic for MFC is older guys looking for "wank" material. However, when a story like this breaks, and if MFC's name is publicly and widely associated with the incident, then MFC is suddenly going to start receiving a lot more traffic than it usually does from people who are just curious about the story - younger guys, minors, women. Seems to me that increase in non-traditional traffic would increase the chances that a cam girl who wishes to remain anonymous might be publicly identified and revealed. So in this case, it's probably a good thing that someone put that Reptcams.com watermark(?) on the video.

Oh, ffs. MFC is not a secret club.

The story as reported by the local channel news. It's looped, so about half way through it starts over again. Why the person who posted it did that I do not know.

Yeah, it is. That's why this forum has a Model's Only section.

As for women already being part of the target demographic, that's not entirely true. I personally haven't noticed that many women in MFC chat rooms, but the ones who are here are presumably bi-sexual or lesbian. The point I'm trying to make is that news stories like the above will reach far beyond the usual demographics, such as heterosexual women who normally would never visit a site like MFC.

The video is actually back up on Pornhub without the watermark and it has the model’s MFC name in the title.

Her MFC account is still open and as long as it’s all “out there” she might as well get on cam and make some money off the publicity. Turn lemons into lemonade I say.

As far as her life being “ruined” by this, I don’t think so. It’s a misdemeanor and if she can stop diddling herself in public (which I’m sure she can), it will likely be dismissed after a year of probation.

It might cause her some embarrassment but in the internet age, it's hardly scandalous.

There's really quite a few women members on mfc. You just haven't noticed them because for the most part they don't advertise it. They don't want to get inundated with idiots sending them PM's.

The ones who overtly announce they are women are actually guys pretending just to get attention.

There are girls from every major camsite and clips site in Model's Only, it's not just MFC girls. Also, we have a Model's Only section mainly to avoid offending you delicate menfolk's sensitivities with talk of our periods and indigestion and butt pimples. Can't have you all getting a case of the vapors every 5 minutes, we'd spend a fortune in smelling salts and don't have nearly enough fainting couches to go around!

Okay, just watched the entire 31 minute video (skipped through it really cause it was kind of boring). She doesn't actually masturbate in it. One interesting thing of note is she would qualify for that scavenger hunt going on right now for getting a screen shot of a women with both nipples pierced.

Really though it's actually quite tame by the majority of library shows that go on at MFC. If the news ever gets a hold of one of the full on shows they'll really have a field day.

When you're in a room full of wankers, you don't really want to broadcast you're a woman, especially if you're a lesbian. And if you're still under the impression that women never watch or pay for porn, a friend of mine who worked for an adult pay processor said that close to 40% of the CC they were handling had female names.

I have multiple regular chatting and tipping member frands who are non-model women, but yeah they just don't talk about it anymore than my male member frands talk about being male.

There are other sites, KinkLive for instance, that allow shows in public places, but you're right that they aren't as high traffic/well known. Either way as long as people do stuff that potentially shows people who are unknowingly on cam...this will only make camming look bad no matter what site.

That's interesting that MFC appears to be the exception in allowing public shows. I don't spend enough time on SM or Chaturbate to know for sure. I know I've never seen one on SM, but I thought I've seen one on Chaturbate, albeit from primarily MFC model. It is one of those classic tragedy of the commons, it is great for the model who does it and MFC in the short term. But by allowing these shows, MFC risks lawsuits, and legal action by the authorities. It is not too far fetched that all the illegal activities MFC allows result in it being effectively shut down

You know, members are just “panting” and salivating at the thought that this model will be on cam tonight. She’s a bad girl and we like that. She is going to jail and then she will be “caged heat”.

I heard that you can smuggle almost anything into jail, not that I would know. Just a cell phone and she could cam from jail, how hot would that be?

Just a suggestion, orange is the new black.

Chaturbate doesn't allow public shows. They banned them almost a year ago. Before that, public shows were allowed on there. So not necessarily MFC girls doing it.

I didn't say women don't watch porn. I said a heterosexual woman wouldn't be on MFC, which you should have understood given that the main point I've repeatedly tried to make is that news stories have the potential to reach outside of MFC's target demographics, and one example I gave is heterosexual women. I've already acknowledged that MFC would attract bi-sexual/lesbian women, but such women, by definition would not be outside the target demographic.

I will add that the cam girl I visit the most often usually has a woman pop in and out every few weeks. But for the most part, all of her regulars are men, and I know this from the way they chat, and I also know it from conversations I've had with her and other cam girls. So if there are large numbers of lesbian/bi-sexual women on MFC, obviously they're not in the chat rooms I frequent, so my bad from extrapolating from too small a sample size. Lesbian/bi-sexual women simply aren't on my radar screen, and if one of them happens to be in the same chat room I'm in, I have absolutely no interest in messaging them. This isn't a dating site after all.

I was talking to someone about this the other day. I have gotten requests to do public videos and such... the though of something like this happening really makes me think twice. Just not worth the risk

That might be easier said than done, depending on the person and any surrounding circumstances that we're unaware of. The embarrassment might be too overwhelming to continue. Plus, for all we know she was attempting to keep her camming a secret from family and any other folks she prefers not knowing. Not to mention how people now know her real name and can pinpoint her general location, doesn't instill the feeling of security.

Seriously? I don't have the impression that the majority of MFC members are older guys at all. Yes there are some, including me, and yes, they may wank, but a) I'm fairly certain the median age of members is not very high, and b) while older guys do get horny, it's nowhere near as often as young guys. That's the usual biological progression anyway. It's possible a higher percentage of older guys tip just because they're more likely to have accumulated some savings by their age, but the I think the bulk of the membership overall is fairly young.

I dont think they were arrested; in fact I've since seen them online since then at least once with different names that hinted at their 'wanted' status (and their profiles still had all the 'tko'-branded graphics).

One of the girls (Lauren?) posted a link to the news item. One of the girls was Australian and was asked to leave Romania and not return. Sometimes though, I wonder if this kind of publicity works favourably for some models.

I have to say that I really don't like public shows. Not only because of how risky they can be for the model, but also because I don't necessarily think that it's fair for someone to potentially involve other (non-consenting) people in their sex work. There are adult venues where public or semi-public shows might be more appropriate (sex parties, kink parties, adult-themed bars, etc), but I have a harder time being okay with shows being done in the general public, especially if there would be any risk of accidentally being seen/heard by minors (& even at a university library, you might run into people who are under the age of majority).

I do hope that things work out for this particular model, though. Yikes.

This incident will not ruin the model's life or cam career.

Niki Skyler was doing a public show at a Starbucks a couple years ago. She had a remote-controlled vibrator down her shorts and members were tipper her to change the speeds and things like that.

At one point she looks off-cam and says "Oh man the cops are here!" but giggles because it seemed to be just a coincidence.

However a moment later you hear a man say "excuse me miss" and she quickly cut her cam off.

A couple hours later she logged back on and told everyone she is ok, and she was simply cited and released. No booking, or mug shots or anything like that.

Where is she now? Still camming, still a very popular model.

If anything, this will help the model's career.

Unforunately all screenshots had to be taken live any time after Thursday midnight and before they are submitted Monday at noon. But just seeing the hunt mentioned outside my thread put a smile on my face. Thanks :-D

If we don't think the news should shame criminal activity, that should extend to all criminals not just the ones we can relate to.

Exactly. Being upset her real name was used should then also extend to every news article or broadcasters who say criminals or victims names in their reports. "Criminal McBad was arrested today on charges of assault." "Victim O'Innocent was hit by a drunk driver crossing the street." And so on. We broadcast peoples names every day. No one things of what those people then face in the aftermath of such happening to them. Both criminals and victims names get spread around and their info will pop up on search engines for their entire life. No escape or hope of such to ever happen. The criminals never get asked nor do the victims. So this girl having her info outed is nothing new. If you dont want to be an outed criminal then don't break the law. Even if this article didn't publish her stuff her name would still be on google for breaking the law. That was her choice to risk.

What an absolute dirty fucking filthy RAT that hater was, to go snitch on her like that.
Funny thing, the hater had her name published too and has already deleted her FB and Twitter. Her name will be attached to this for the years to come.

This is why I argue that broadcasting with people in the background is never a victimless crime. Those people did not consent or know they were on film. Adult oriented or not, consent is needed. Say for instance someone watches this vid of her and recognizes someone in the background. They comment on the video, or somewhere else and tie that person to her posted video. The bigger the video gets the more the random person is tied to it and so on. An updated article may even include that someone has been positively identified in said video and may even try to interview them. Thinking a bit more story is a great thing only. Victim of course declines and is appalled he is now involved in such a thing and all he did is go to the damn library that day for school. But now his name is forever tied to a sex site video scandal. It may effect his future in schooling (more and more are using search engines to look at potential applicants), his job profession (imagine trying to become a politician with that popping up on your google results), his future jobs (again employers are googling now more than ever), etc. Someone elses life may forever be changed all because someone chose to broadcast in public. It may not happen exactly like this of course, there is 1,000 variables but it would not be hard to screw up someones elses life this way. Heck someone may even wrongfully identify someone in a background of one of these capped shows (they do pop up everywhere as we all know) and the same thing would happen to the poor person.

As far as saying that her life isnt ruined I think that's to early to tell but ..yeah.. it will effect her life forever. For one she aint going back to her original choice of colleges. Its not like Oregon is gonna let her come back. So now if she can even find another college to take her (again others use google now) so probably only a CC will even take her. Those are obviously looked more down upon and can hugely effect your career later on in life and the opportunities available to you. (Not saying it's fair, but it's true.) Generally the better the school the better the job you get. The better recruiters go to the better schools, internships are more available to better schools, etc. If she gets past all that though finding a job that will hire her and ignore a record like this or what her googled name pops up as will be hard as well. Her path in life may be very altered now due to her one choice and that's just a fact. She's not gonna be a teacher, she's not gonna be a companies PR rep, etc. While she had a potentially bright future she now is limited.

Bringing up Niki is in no way comparable. Her real name wasnt outed in an explosion of news articles across the interweb for any and all to see whether they were looking for it or not. Big difference buddy.

Lest we not forget we are entering an age where facial recognition will become very possible. So even a small uploaded video in a deep corner of the web that some girl did with one person walking in the background could pick that other persons face and tag them to it. Again forever possibly changing their life. It's not a matter of "well the person didnt know at the time so they arent really a victim." That's bullshit. Granted we are a far ways away from technology getting to that point but we all know it is coming and we all know these videos being posted aren't going anywhere either.

So before trying to say having other people on cam who arent consenting is a victimless crime stop and think about how someones dreams and goals could be crushed as fuck because of it. It is never okay to do to someone. If you wanna go in public then by all means do, but don't you dare try to tell yourself you arent potentially hurting those other people on your feed.

I completely agree. I watched the video too and it was nothing special. Yeah, she's attractive and all, but I've seen other models do a lot more in public than what she did, so I don't overly get why people are making such a big deal about it.

Cause it got picked up by the mainstream media, i.e. a local tV show and also national news websites. I have enjoyed nude in public videos for many years, but it never occurred to me until joining MFC that lots of models were doing live sex shows from libraries etc. I suspect that if the general public knew that these were done not just at college libraries, but a Starbuck and public libraries, probably hundreds of times a day. There would be an outcry and backlash against camming. Since a majority of models don't do this outside of events like AVN (and IMO conventions and pretty much Vegas in general has different set of rules.), the potential for the behavior of a small group to effect the community at large exist.

Not mention the points Teagan eloquently made above.
