Short Stories Based On Songs

There are a few songs that, when I hear them, I instantly start forming a story in my head. I think it's the fault of MTV and the decline of the music video as art form... or because I just don't seek out music videos like I did back in the day.

Regardless, I've come up with the idea that I should start writing out some of these short stories based on songs. I don't know if anyone would read them if I did, or if that would even matter. But I'm wondering what people think of the concept.

Many, if not all, of the dialogue would be based on the lyrics.

If people are interested, I could post video links and/or portions of whatever I write.

Before MTV, music videos weren't really a huge thing. There were things like the Beatle's movies and and the occasional one-off like the one for Alice Cooper's Elected, but there wasn't much of an outlet for them before MTV.
