If you look underage and people complain, or do too many school girl things (school, school girl, not a college girl,) call everyone daddy or say you're their little girl, most any site will ban you. Even MFC would if they enforced the rules.
I've never seen you on camera though so I'm not judging, I'm just saying that's how cam sites work.

^ People say I look underage all the time and I'm 23. I mean, if they have a copy of your ID and found it acceptable, in my opinion it would be unfair if they banned someone just for looking young if they are actually 18+. But I guess it would depend on whether you're playing it up or not - I don't do any age play and always say I'm 23 when asked.
They don't ban just for looking young. I look young, and get it all the time. Maybe not 16 young anymore, but I've seen many young looking girls on there!
I am also confident that they wouldn't just BAN out of the blue. They must have heard from numerous people voicing concerns.... and at the end of the day, they have to watch their own backs.

Now, let me make it clear that I have no idea what the fuck really happened, etc. I wasn't there. I have seen you on cam before, && to me, you do look young.
If people tell a site they think a model isn't 18, && she looks like she could pass for being UNDER 18, then yeah, I can see why they might give a model the boot. It might not be fair, but they're protecting their asses. There's a shit ton of stuff that goes on behind the scenes, esp as far as legalities, && that seems to be one rule most places take very seriously, because not taking it seriously can have very dire consequences.
Also, going off personal experience from many talks with Kathleen, she's NOT unreasonable, by any means. I think if there had been any doubt that the "rumors" were false, she would have spoke with you about it.
One last thing, age verification, as well as any legal document identification isn't hard to do. There's databases around that have current pictures of each state/country identification for drivers licenses, ID cards, passports, etc. && it will tell you the specific things to look for to tell if it's legit or not, watermarks, uv, etc. You can pull people's information off their SS#, as well as other means, so there's really no point. - shrug.

Twinkle, you STILL have a profile on Skin Video. Kathleen doesnt leave up a profile for a models who's been banned. Trust me I know, and I've seen what happens when a model gets banned for laundering, lying or abusive behavior.

Also partly to blame is their "group show" feature. You see, models can start group shows whenever they want on SV, they don't need 3 users to opt in for it like on MFC. Sure, this sounds great in writing but in reality, models abuse the shit out of this. I've seen 2 or 3 models that will set up Manycam and stay in group on SV pretty much all fucking day, but hang out and do nothing in public on MFC. This gives the site a bad reputation and makes users not want to spend money. I just feel sorry for the few actual paying customers that join these so called "group shows" only to be ripped off.
It's sad, because SV's rules are way better than other cam site on the net and and their customer support is probably the best around. I'd personally like to see SV topple MFC one day because, let's be honest, MFC has gone to shit and has been on a decline since last year. Maybe not today, maybe not tommorow, next week, next month, or even next year, but someday..... Skin Video will reach it's full potential.

There is/was admittedly great customer service, though it's not that surprising I guess since there were so many less customers and models to take care of than a site like MFC.
As a past paying customer of Skinvideo, the main problem for me was that while SV was great for the models, it wasn't so great for the customers. The video was small and unable to be adjusted in size (at least when I was there, dunno about now). There wasn't even a volume control - only mute and full-blast. If guests could be muted, then no model I knew was aware of how to do it. Most of the time I'd log on there would be no more than 5 models, and if I didn't know any of them I'd be wary of entering the room to see what they're like without getting a spotlight on me since I'm likely to be the only premium in there.
All in all, I feel SV put virtually no effort into pleasing customers. If a model I watch wants to go there and would rather me buy tokens there (or any other site) than on MFC I'm certainly willing to sign up elsewhere and help them out - *however* to do so at considerable penalty to the quality of the 'product' I receive is fairly unreasonable and sooner or later most customers won't stand for it.

I love this site, but the traffic is so painful x_x I much love Kathleen and how she responds and actually gives a crap, and helps you out as a model. But it only goes so far when you're struggling to pay rent from it.
I've tried to cam here, but I never make my goal, and I end up frustrated by the end of it, due to a complete absence of communication and tips on the user's part.

I want to start doing an hour or two here on this site a week. I know it's been slow but I'm hoping that maybe over time even if I just have a few regs enough for one night a week, I really like what you guys have to say about it and would love to join. I do wish that they made model viewing easier.
Unless they sink quite a bit of work and money into it, I'm afraid SV has already seen it's full potential.BloodRed87 said:

The current "rush" is for StreamMate. Many of the ones who jumped MFC for Skin are now doing StreamMate instead of or in addition to. Frankly, traffic looks slow if you dont have a loyal fan base. My fans show up and I have a pretty high conversion rate for sign ups. If you dont have this, it's going to hurt.

The pay rate is fucking FANTASTIC. However, if noone's tipping, it makes the payrate redundant. Kathleen is awesome about CS. I had quite a few of my MFC regs move on over to SV, && buy token packages... However, it just dropped off after that. A lot of people were not happy about the stream quality. && I don't blame them. I have noticed a lot of foreign models that splitcam, && don't even pay attention to the video feed at SV, or have no sound, or just never talk. I think that makes the site look bad, esp when they are the only models on, so there's nothing to choose from except five different models who aren't talking. Yeah. PASS. I think it boomed super well... Then everyone left, because they weren't making money. No new traffic, && I think a lot of the members that the girls brought didn't like they couldn't really see their fave model as clearly as MFC.
I also found it almost harder to make $ on SV, since I do not do public shows, nor couples shows. I love being able to put myself in group, rather than wait. I actually did a show last week for a specific someone, who had a specific request, so we did it group on SV rather than Skype, because of payment issues. && it worked out VERY well.
Just since it hasn't been said here yet, they're getting HD and Cam2Cam very soon, within the next week or two.

They've done other things too that aren't as obvious, at least to members. We can better control our bans, and they're working on a way to keep people banned even if they change their IP. I've no idea how they're planning to do that, but they are.

I am 28 and people always think I look 18-23 so they say. But that makes me feel good about myself, I don't mind looking younger but I also always say my real age, I kind of like the shock factor people give me when they say, your 28?! Yep. I do agree though if you can prove your 18 you should not be banned.

Not kissing her ass, but it is sad that one of the hottest and nicest cam girls out there like AnnaSwallows can't make it on Skin Video, so it's like how in the heck does anyone else there suppose to make it if she can't? SkinVideo will become an all foreign girl site soon enough as they tried to make a run but just can't compete against the MFC juggernaut. I think Kathleen pays women like Alexandria Devine and Kitty Caulfield (who have porno videos in the regular Skin Video section) by the hour there or something to just sit there because it is real strange how they both sit there on cam for hours on end and never make any decent tips and they have been doing it the whole time since the site started. Seems pretty fishy, especially since Kathleen is usually in their rooms the whole time.

In fact, the remaining tokens I had in my account on Skin, I gave to Kitty. I like being in her room because she is so talkative. And I think I watched Dana Vixen a few times. She has some strange things she was doing with some ties. She was tying up every part of her body.....it was very entertaining to watch. I think she also had some strange contraptions....lol....
Anyways, that was only my experience. I didn't fare well after a couple of months, so I threw in the towel. Good luck and best wishes to those girls that are still on there and doing well. Wish Stream or MFC would raise their payout!!!

It's all down to the amount of tokens a member purchases Anna.
Models get a flat 5c per token, regardless of what a member pays for them.
If a member buys a $20 token package, they receive 200 tokens which is 10c per token = 50% payout rate. (maybe it was 220, either way around that)
If they buy a $50 package, they receive 550 tokens, approx 9.1c per token = approx 55% payout.
Buying a $75 package, they receive 900 tokens, approx 8.3c per token = approx 60% payout.
From what I've read, more expensive packages have a slightly cheaper cost per token to a member but it seems to level out close the the numbers quoted above.
