If I leave the door of my bedroom open, you can see down the hall into the kitchen.

There is a digital clock on my microwave that is always on and is the only thing that can bee seen during the pitch darkness of night, something keeps blocking it out as if someone or something walks in front of it.

I grabbed my handgun (that I have for home defense) I always keep in my nightstand drawer, and cautiously searched throughout the house thinking that a burglar had broken in, but I did not find anyone.

This has happened about 10 times in the past two months.

I live alone in a very small house and I do not own any pets.

Could this be a ghost? I've also felt something tug on my bedsheets at night but when I turn on the lights there is nobody there.

Does it happen when you are looking directly at it as if waiting for it to happen. Or does it happen when you're lying on your back not thinking about it and you notice it out of the corner of your eye? Also is it just blocked for a second or two or does it stay blocked even after you look at it and get up to go investigate?

It happens when I am looking directly at it and am wide awake.

I have a chronic sleep disorder and am often up for hours past midnight.

Another strange occurrence that happened to me recently is that my television turned on by itself two times in a row.

Logically. Maybe your microwave is going out. Maybe there's power surges that is making it blink out for a second. You mention it's pitch dark. So I'm guessing you wouldn't have anything else that would tell you if that is happening. Maybe another night light could help with that.

Otherwise ghost.

You should ask this shadow's friend where it lives so you can ask it why it blocks your microwave every night
Or maybe it's your conscience because you are making a girl feel paranoid because you are trying to find her on the internet. And in turn you are getting paranoid.

Maybe it's a ghost.

I should leave a nightvision camera mounted on a tripod facing down the hall throughout the whole night and see what it records.

It could be just dim enough that you see it when it's in your peripheral but when you look directly at it, it goes away.

In the pitch darkness, the only things that are visible are the big red numbers on alarm clock and microwave down the hall.

It's very obvious if one of these lights becomes obscured.

When you combine these incidents with the other strange and possibly supernatural occurrences in my house, you have to consider the possibility of there being a ghost.

I know from personal experiences that ghosts and paranormal phenomena are absolutely 100% real! Look at this uber-creepy video of a poltergeist in action!

What a troll. banned for this and his other thread.

I guess we will never find out because he is banned, but my bet was going to be placed on it being a little homeless Japanese woman!

A homeless woman in Japan managed to sneak into a man’s house and lived undetected in his closet for a year – and was only arrested after he became suspicious when food mysteriously began disappearing.

Police found the 58-year-old woman on Thursday, hiding in the top compartment of the man’s closet. They arrested her for trespassing, police spokesman Hiroki Itakura from southern Kasuya town said today.

The resident of the home installed security cameras that transmitted images to his mobile phone, after becoming puzzled by food disappearing from his kitchen over the past several months.

One of the cameras captured someone moving inside his home Thursday after he had left, and he called police believing it was a burglar. However, when they arrived they found the door locked and all windows closed.

‘We searched the house … checking everywhere someone could possibly hide,’ Itakura said. ‘When we slid open the shelf closet, there she was, nervously curled up on her side.’

The woman told police she had no place to live and first sneaked into the man’s house about a year ago when he left it unlocked.

The closet is part of a Japanese-style room, one of several rooms in his one-story house where the man lived alone – or so he had thought.

Police were investigating how she managed to go in and out of the house unnoticed, as well as details of her life inside the closet, and if she had taken anything else besides food.

She had moved a mattress into the small closet space and apparently even took showers, Itakura said, calling the woman ‘neat and clean.’
