I've been debating with myself ever since my MFC camscore started it's steady decline, but been avoiding leaving because I'm comfortable with the setup. I've finally decided to get my ass in gear because I'm sick of only earning a couple hundred tokens a night when I used to earn several thousand. I need advice on where to go though.

There are so many pages on google comparing all the cam sites and the pros and cons for members/viewers but it's hard to find really thorough equivalents from the model's perspective!

I'm thinking no to Chaturbate - it sounds like it's too oversaturated and you have a hard time if you're not top page material (as a plus size niche gal, I am not that).

I don't know whether to go with another public/token site or a site like LiveJasmin where it's all privates (right?).

I'd also love to hear any recommendations for sites that don't use a camscore-type system - are there any that are basically randomised or something? I find the anxiety of worrying about my ranking and how it will affect my future earnings too stressful.

Which sites do I have to be careful with if I want to avoid my face being plastered over some porn site in an advert and have people who know me accidentally discover me? (Heard there's one site that does this on xhamster?)

On private-only sites, how difficult is it to get buyers? I prefer the sound of sitting in some private waiting room for someone to come in as a paying customer, than the irritation of sitting in a crowded public room full of freeloaders and timewasters. But, is that having too high expectations?

Also, which sites are compatible with each other if I was to join two at the same time and give splitcamming a go?

I know this is long but any and all advice and opinions would be really appreciated! MFC really is getting me down these days, I feel like I'm wasting my time and starting to dread it every time I go on cam, when I used to really love it and look forward to it. I want the fun back!

Long time ago, like 7 years before I worked on most of the sites ( LiveJasmin, ImLive, XLove, Peek, Bonga, Cam4 and other 5 - 10 even XHAMSTER at his time ). 🤭

Obviously you will can't mix a token site with a private site ( I tried... it doens't work well ). As a private site only from my experience, but as I said, that was a looooong time ago I had a really good time and money on Flirt4Free. ☺

As an advice, I would recomand you at first to keep your actual site while you try with other token site; if Chaturbate looks oversaturated for you ( and I can confirm that it's truth.. ) you can try with Stripchat, for me Chaturbate + Stripchat had a good result for a while. Good luck 🍀

Hi Sasha. If you're american consider; Streamate (Premium)
- Stripchat (Freemium)
- Flirt4Free (It's a mix of freemium and premium lol)

These sites have regional traffic which means if you're from USA you will get USA traffic (the good paying traffic)

I hadn't even considered where the traffic's coming from actually! I'm UK based sadly, but on MFC I feel like I've had a fairly even split of UK/US tippers so maybe these sites could still work for me

if ur tags is #curvy #bbw and #chubby, then chaturbate is literally good choice for you, try it =) money grow not only on first page

8 years ago when I started it wasn't the regional traffic thing (favored) Which model was better was "up" .... Now we girls in Eastern Europe are "left behind", good traffic goes "with dedication" to United States....
It's not really fayr-play but we're used to it :))

Xhamster is heavily advertising their Xhamster Live cam site with rotating thumbnails of live models when you browse for clips. Xhamster Live is a StripChat whitelabel, so I guess you can technically say they're advertising StripChat models. Video ads showing a few seconds of a rotating set of LiveJasmin models are *everywhere* on all the well known porn sites.

I think using a program like ShineModel to cam on MyFreeCams and Stripchat (Two different token sites) would be cool. I'm not really too fond of Chaturbate.

Sites where you can be live without having to do free chat:

*AdultWork: They've stopped accepting U.S. models a long time ago, so I'm mentioning it because you said you're in the U.K. It's a UK cam site, and I used to log onto there and just sit and wait for members to come into private or group mode. So I wasn't stuck having to sit there entertaining in free chat. I could be doing other things in between paid sessions. I enjoyed the U.K. men on there because they were pleasant and had good manners. I think the percentage on there is 65-75%.

*Cams/Streamray: You can stay in 'Nude Chat' mode if you don't want to do free chat, and in Nude Chat you have to be topless at minimum. Model percentages on there vary...goes by tier. Mine was at 32%.

*SkyPrivate and CamModelDirectory are independent sites where you can log into Skype, and wait for the guys to contact you for a Skype show. And it's none of this "Paying with PayPal" b.s. either. They pay you (your chosen per minute rate) right there on the site.

*ImLive: Back in the day this site was so fun, and they didn't have that crap they have now where they make new models do a mandatory X hours of free chat (Free chat on there was brutal). Back then, you didn't have to do free chat if you didn't want to. So if you wanted to just go live in paid chat mode, you could do that. I loved that. The O.G. ImLive models who've stayed on the site for years can probably still do the paid chat only mode if they want. But new models, unfortunately, are put through that period of the mandatory free chat hours. A lot of models quit ImLive when they started doing that dumb shit with the "bonus credits" for members, so then models would do a show without even knowing what percentage they're getting anymore. You used to get 30% on that site, but now with that bullshit I'm hearing it's more like 12%. A member could spend a whole $100 on you in a show, and you find out afterwards that you're only getting $12 in your pocket for that. So even though I used to love this site years ago, I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone these days because of that b.s.

I agree. Years ago it was fair and equal and you could make money no matter where you were from. Now with most sites having this regional traffic it became very very hard for non americans to make money.

All cam sites, not just CB, have way more models on them than they did even just a couple of years ago. You don't need to be on the first or even second page to make money on CB, and well, there are people of varying appearances on the first page. I wouldn't discard the idea of camming on CB just because you feel its oversaturated or because you don't think you're top page material. Also, getting that new tag boost is amazing, especially if you fully utilize it. If you like the social aspect of camming, I feel that CB is a nice move from MFC since you can build a nice community in your room. I've never cammed on MFC (would like to give a try someday, but damn its intimidating!), but it's my understanding that it's very community oriented and social more than just sexual. This can be done on CB.

You can also apparently do this on SC. Many people have a lot of success on that site and their support is really awesome. The site itself is super easy to use and camming there just feels good. I don't know how to explain it, really, maybe it's because things are pretty intuitive. Personally, I had a pretty terrible time on there, but every person has different experiences so don't let my experience dissuade you. Being prepared for a bad experience will just make a good experience even better :)

A word of caution regarding SC and especially CB: You will be recorded by so many bots and people. This is unavoidable. I am not a first page model, but my content is everywhere and I even have a pirate "fan club".

I've never splitcam so the following suggestion could be shit. I wouldn't split while trying a new site. I would put all focus on the new site for a few weeks or so before deciding if you want to invest more into it or just split it.

Like @yummybrownfox said, SP or CMD offer a nice exclusive private option. The problem with those sites is that unless you price yourself pretty low, you probably won't have much interaction. There are people on there offering skype shows for $1/minute which is just absolutely insane to me. I use SP as just a side egg and have it on while I'm streaming or making content. It's nice for a little boost, but unless you're cool with lowering your price, don't expect it to boom for you.

Since you're not in the US, definitely check out AW, like foxy suggested. I've never cammed on there, but have read really great things about that site. Have read that it is also a bit slow going at the moment, however.

I also just need to say that this industry is really volatile. I've had days where I only make $5 but other days where I make 2 months of my mortgage payment. It's a huge mindfuck, but extremely common in this industry. If you're consistent and work hard, you will see your earnings increase every year. Try to pay attention to your yearly earnings and not your daily earnings. I struggle with that a lot and have to remind myself that it's a marathon, not a sprint. Branching out, trying new sites, trying new things - all that is good and sometimes one thing doesn't click with someone, while another will, but it's also important to give things time.

You are beautiful and have something that no one else can offer - yourself. You got this!

Honestly, I'm not complaining about money, it's a place for everyone, but let the "free will" decide the position on the page based on the shows we do.
In the last 2 years when I have the best show of the 4-5 hours online I don't have more than 800 people in the room, while before on the same good show I had from 2500 people +
I don't understand why you favor someone just because they are from a certain part of the planet!?!?

I think the main thing is communication. You can have a lot of problems or very slow responses when there are communication barriers so sticking with someone from your own region/country prevents this and let's you relax and enjoy the room more. It can also be humour and topics of conversation are more similar too.

How kind you are - your last comment to the poster. Thank you for being so kind.

I make consistent money if I stream on SM although I am trying to get back into it... I've mostly lived off of making custom films for a couple years - I am getting bored of the many hours for each film... I get lonely so I am starting to cam again.

If you have indie clients I would suggest bringing them to LoyalFans as they have a private show function and you get to keep 80% off earnings, a huge difference. You can set any rate you want. If I was camming I wouldn't use it as a main site but more to do private shows.

I've seen some domme types who are also active on SM siphon some of their high paying clients to LF. Better yet, you can also earn per message and per voice message. I make 5 figures a month there doing nothing but sending text, voice and image messages... I don't do shows. I wrote an article explaining how to use LoyalFans features here... Feel free to sign up from there if you found it helpful.

Siphoning fans from SM to any other platforms seems dodgy though as they seem so strict on it? Even my OF has really dropped off since I switched from MFC because I've lost that free advertising...

@starj50 I've just started camming on loyalfans but I'm unsure what rates the customers there are used to. Can they handle 9,99 or do they expect less than streamate rates because of us getting a higher %.

Sasha,

Not siphoning like telling them to go there which is against TOS. I am assuming some models have clients google them, and find them on their Twitter where they can then re-direct traffic.

Emilia,

I'm a domme. I often charge $25 for a text or 10 second voice message. Sometimes $100 per 10 sec voice message as a findomme. $10 per min is a normal rate I think. I only deal with submissive men and couldn't care less what a customer "can handle" based on the percentage that I make. The percentage that I make is none of their business, I would never charge less because the site takes less. It's none of the customers business what percentage I make and I can't imagine any having the audacity to factor that into anything.

As a "mean domme" I would block such a member immediately if they dared to insinuate that I should charge less because the site takes less. As a findomme, I only aim to make the most in the least amount of time possible. My members love my greedy and strict ways, I don't deal with vanilla men.

Ah I get you. Sadly the extra effort that takes appears to be too much for most of mine 🙄
