Stabler’s L&O Organized Crime is sooo good! It actually keeps my attention even more so than SVU. And I love me some SVU, even though it’s not quite as good (imo) as the earlier seasons. I really miss Captain Cragen, A.D.A. Rafael Barba, Detective Nick Amaro, Detective Munch, Dr. Huang, M.E. Melinda Warner.
I definitely want to watch it!! He was one of my favorite characters from SVU (not to mention he's ridiculously hot lmao). I also love that era. Dr. Huang is an amazing character, he should have had more screen time.

The last TV show I watched was the new episode of South Park, and I have to be honest, as a Brit, I thought it was hilarious and spot on - taking the piss out of Prince Harry and Meghan. I was honestly laughing so much because of how right it is. "Respect our privacy"
I really love South Park after all these years, they are great at picking up on things and then taking the piss out of them.

Nick Cave is such an awesome musician.

So I tried to watch the Mayfair Witches on AMC. Yeah the books are super sexual but I really thought it would be alluded to and not actual graphic sex scenes. I've reached an age where if I want to see porn I know where to find it and am sick of seeing gratuitous nudity in "cable tv" shows. Plus, it's painfully slow moving through the story. And they moved it into the 21st century with cell phones and all that jazz. It's ruined the nostalgia I had for the books.

Is it scary at all? I haven't read the books since I was a teenager but I remember it being one of the only times a book has given me nightmares. Though I admit I am easily scared.

I've only watched 2 episodes so far. When Lasher "turns" during the sex scenes it's a bit like a jump/startle scare but if I recall correctly it doesn't get super scary until you get to Taltos (3rd book). Which they're not even close to approaching from what I have seen so far.

It took an entire hour just to explain how Rowan was adopted and by whom.

Detective Munch
Wow this mention of Munch just triggered a memory about one of my favourite shows of all time, 'Homicide: Life on the Street"
I loved that show, and Munch was such a great interesting character. My favourite of all was Frank Pembleton (played so well by Andre Braugher).
Now I need to track that series down and revisit it - thanks for the reminder!

And now R.I.P., Richard Belzer. 😢

OMG I hadn't caught that news, but I see now that only happened a few days ago....... so sad.
You know, one of the moments from Homicide: LotS that I'd most like to revisit was an episode where one of the police officers in that precinct was killed (I'm hazy on the details, but think he was killed doing something unofficial) and the Commissioner refused to allow a guard of honour for him.
Pembleton completely ignored that and stood out the front of the station in full dress uniform and white gloves, and saluted as the coffin passed by. Such a poignant moment, going to have to track that ep down.

This episode was WILD! It was his twin brother (who he didn't know existed...the evil twin knew HE existed though) committing all those rapes, and pinning it on him.

For some reason I have ended up watching gold rush Alaska... I mean it's not a bad show but I don't know how I ended up watching it instead of doing the things I am meant to be doing 😂

The Last of Us

This has been up and down for me, but overall I like the show.
Some episodes are boring, some really great, but it's good since you can't have all episodes to be action-packed, but I already look forward to season 2

I admit it, I love trashy reality tv. Below Deck is such a trainwreck it's hard to stop watching.

I have been watching a lot of true crime documentaries on Netflix lately, where it's catching killers.

Like one called "Don't fuck With Cats", that was fucked up and the guy in that, just wow. I find it very intriguing to see how people are, what they are like, etc and to see if I can figure it out if they look suspicious or whatever.
I think the whole process from both sides (trying to understand the killer and seeing the process from the police investigations, and the convicting) is very interesting to see.

The one I have been watching most recently is about a guy named Steven Avery who was wrongfully convicted, spent 18 years in jail, got let out because of DNA evidence proving his innocence, to then have another murder happen a few weeks after, and he is arrested again, and there is so much more to it. It's really amazing (10 parts though, I didn't realise but I'm on episode 6 or 7 and sucked right in)

Watched the Mario movie last night, no real story to follow, or heavy character development, its a real switch off and stuff your face with popcorn type of movie.
The only thing that really ruined it for me was the voice acting, Seth Rogen in particular, like you look at Donkey Kong and hearing Seth Rogen's voice come out of him is just really jarring. There's one musical scene that seems really random and out of place too. As soon as you think even a little bit about it the entire movie falls apart.

I can see why people were vomiting and passing out in movie theaters when they first saw Terrifier 2! I just finished watching it online, and WHOA..

Watching the last season of Succession now. By far one of the greatest shows ever made, or I just enjoy watching stupid rich people doing stupid rich people things. But it's really great if you like "talky" stuff, snappy intelligent dialogue, plot twists swiped from newspaper headlines, it's just great.

Watched and enjoyed The Last of Us too, made by the same crew that made another one of my favorites, Chernobyl (this was really something else, I lived through that, while I wasn't anywhere near the area, Chernobyl was one of the most pivotal moments of the 80s, and probably shaped a lot of what 's happening in the world today. To see all the backstory and drama was amazing).

Watching mostly anime at the moment, Vinland Saga (if you're not into anime, but you think you can get over the fact that this is a cartoon, this is great), Attack on Titan (if HBO made a live action version of this, it would overthrow game of thrones, and any other series that people have been going crazy about), Demon Slayer, Hell's Paradise.

Yeah I'm a weeb, but I take baths and comb my hair.

I am glad other's watch this, it's definitely what I have been wanting since I saw the trailer a while ago.
Obviously, a big piece of nostalgia and wanting to see just how they have been able to turn it into a movie. The trailer definitely fascinated me and didn't make me thing "oh no", so I will see this soon.

I was going to comment some more on it but theres so little to it that even the most basic "that was cool but didnt go anywhere" is like a giant spoiler... like things not happening are the spoilers for this movie not the things that do happen 😂

I just watched John Wick 3 last night in anticipation of watching John Wick 4 later today.
I would suggest skipping jw3 and go straight to jw4, because 3 is the weakest in my opinion. Whereas 4 is probably the greatest action movie ever made. But don't skip lol there's a lot of plot points from 3 that carry over to 4.
