Is anyone ever nervous about the possible consequences of being a cam girl? So far I love it but my mom found out what I was doing on cam and said it would come back to haunt me. My really name, state I live in, and practically everything else on my profile is made up so is there any way it could all be traced back to me?

Yes. It can all be traced back to you.
If you want to be anonymous or do sex work without any consequences, you need to forget it.
There are forms of sex work that are Less likely to get your image out there (stripping and escorting come to mind) however YOUR image is on the internet forever when you cam.

FOREVER. Your face. your vagina.

I have been recognized multiple times in public (though I am less careful about my location).
I have been outed in a small town and basically told to get out of town.
I have been fired for camming.

In fact, there was a new model on this forum posting that in her first week of camming she h ad the bad luck to have TWO people she knew stumble across her room.

So yeah, harsh but i really want you to fully understand what you're doing when you cam. Your image. On the internet. FOREVER....

Miss Lolli the wisee has spoken!! ( :lol ) & it's all true.

You can be found & that info is there forever. That doesn't mean that IT WILL be bad or that bad things WILL happen. It just means, they definitely can & you should be aware of that.

Might be jinxing myself here, but in the 2 years I've been on MFC- only 1 person who I knew IRL has stumbled upon by accident (everyone else who knows, I've told.) & thankfully he was cool about it.. (I mean he WAS a perving premium on the site, really what can he say, right?)

Not everyone has a bad experience with people finding out, but you need to prepared for that possibility and for how you will handle it if it's a negative experience.

There are also some precautions you can take to help reduce (but not eliminate) the likely hood of someone you know irl finding you- like blocking your home state or states where close friend/family live on MFC. For those who are really cautious, make my twitter private, so you have to approve accounts.

If your grandpa thinks his computer mouse is a microphone, then you probably don't have to worry about him stumbling onto your MFC profile. For anyone else, there's always a chance.
