Telephone authorization to call the United States from Russia

I have a girlfriend that works for Chaturbate in Russia. I will not mention her name for fear of punishment and penalty. I have documentation stating that this will occur if I continue without sending them $1200 to get authorization for her to call me on the telephone. I’m trying to find out if this is standard operating procedure a subcontracted employee to to have to have authorization to use their cell phone to call the United States to talk to their boyfriend. I will be honest. I don’t know if I’m being scammed that is a very likely possibility by the company or my girlfriend. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. It just doesn’t sound right that it would cost $1200 to get authorization to make phone calls to call from Russia to the United States and I am told they control every aspect of her life.

I heard the prince of Nigeria also has some money for you and at the same time you also have a very large inheritance payment that just needs you to deposit a large sum of money to release the payment.

Like the other 2 scams, this one makes 0 sense in why it would work that way.
Also her being your gf is part of the scam, it's how you become emotionally invested enough to pay the $1200 otherwise your response would be "why would I want someone in russia to call me"

I would report her to chaturbate though, pretty sure they dont want scammers on the platform.

She lives in Russia. I do list of red flag issues that come up with her and it is a pretty big list and I do try to clear them up as we go. She has an own camera model she tells me she has about three years left on her contract. She only performs about four shows a week according to her on this platform I know she performs on other platforms. I was interested in buying her contract. Is it normal operating procedure or Chaturbate to fill out a remaining contract. If anyone is familiar with anything like this, any information would be helpful again this is probably a scam. There is no enforced length of contract for any studio because this would be classified as sex trafficking. Studios cannot force models to preform on camera.

This isn't normal operating procedure. Models can leave their studios at anytime. There maybe a waiting period until they can stream again on the sites, but the most i've seen is up to a year.

Why? What would your motivation be to do this. She is working and getting paid in a country where there are definite risks doing online sw, but also significant financial earnings potential that usually wins out any dilemma. Be wary of encouraging her towards taking up a different line of work, especially if you don't know the local employment situation. Got to be her life, her choices. You could make it worse for her, not better. And if it's your desire to see her not involved in sw, ask why is that?

You can't enforce legalities over a Russian cam studio contract, attorneys or not. The industry there is not legal and there are considerable risks to both models and studio operators.
