How am I shouting at you? I keep telling that you have to dig deeper and pay attention to what he is doing subtextually. I saw an interview with him the other day where he claims that he wouldn't be doing what he's doing if he didn't like black women and didn't want better black women in society.

His 'I hate black women' is similar to someone saying they hate women after getting rejected!

I'm not defending him just pointing out something that is true about his messaging. Yes, I do use exclamation marks more than most people-- I write how I speak and that is overly expressive.

I think that middle of the road politics would still be considered "leftist" politics by most right-wing politicians, just because they live, breathe and survive off of fear-mongering. That white lash existed because right wing politics tell people they are under attack, makes them reminisce on their childhood hopes & dreams and then tells them that they haven't been accomplished because of "the others". Right wing politics are mostly established on either victim blaming or playing the victim - and anything that doesn't allow that process to work they won't support it. But the good thing about the white lash & Trumps win is that it exposed the right wing tactic and i think (hope) that people take serious note of this cycle as to not repeat it and move more to a middle ground.

This recent popularity of calling any conservative who is willing to work with liberals on issues a "cuckservative" is a prime example. Our system requires checks and balances in order to work properly and our democracy will fall apart if many of these people don't put their ego's and personal agendas to the side once in a while.

I also really hate how everything is SO divided by party or left/right. I read a bit about how climate change and environmentalism in general became a "left" issue and thus by default is opposed by the right. I think this leads to both sides becoming more polar and to individuals feeling like they have to agree 100% with the liberal or conservative rhetoric. Then you see people doubling-down on stupid ideas, or acting incredibly hypocritical when their side does something they've slammed the other for, because to disagree is to acknowledge The Other could have valuable ideas.

I agree! I have noticed a lot of people, myself included, fall victim to the law of excluded middle- that either something is, or isn't. Either/or logic. It is easier to examine and understand things when you look at them in terms of spectra. There are a lot more grey areas than black and white areas, in my personal opinion, and it is healthier to make educated decisions based upon personal research and experience than it is to follow others or vote down the party line, politically and in far broader senses as well.

Yeah, I found myself switching my opinion a bunch of times whilst listening. I went from horrified and offended to faintly understanding him once he stopped being an unfathomable asshole and basically said "lol I don't really think black women should be called bed wenches, I don't care who they date as long as they are happy" (I am paraphrasing). Then I felt super confused once he went back to being hateful. I don't really know what his real opinions are to be honest. I fully understand the definition of the word bed wench. I was bringing up another point Tommy mentioned in his video when I typed the bit about who dates who. Tommy does not seem to understand the definition of the word bed wench and actually states that he just started using the word because he heard it elsewhere. This guy is pretty dumb.

Tommy seems to have expanded his usage of the term bed wench to include black women who he thinks have sex with white men with more perceived power, money, or influence.

I can't edit my post anymore, so I would like to reiterate that Tommy literally goes from calling black women bed wenches to saying he doesn't care who they date. I made no mention of my understanding of the word, I was just paraphrasing a sentence I heard him utter. He does not understand the word. He does not appear to have any concrete stance or understanding of anything. Just some ignorant asshole on the internet making a name for himself by displaying how little he knows about anything while acting like he knows everything, acquiring similarly minded fans and angering a bunch of people in the process.

I only started watching some of his videos again after the whole Vlad/Nasheed ambush incident. I had completely written him off! He is confusing but I think I get exactly what he's doing and how his audience is so mixed and his views are so mixed + add in how emotional he is and you get a lack of consistency, then add in the comedic aspect, the financial one and that he is paying himself to troll and you get Tommy.

I say confusing because look at his fan structure former pro-black conscious men, MGTOW dudes, black women who hate him because he is talking about their brand of black womanhood, black women who like him because he isn't talking about then and they also hate BT-1000s LOL, regular Joe black dudes, black dudes who can't get women, white supremacist, they LOVE him on Storm Trooper because he calls out a lot of cultural issues that certain groups of black ppl have that white ppl aren't 'allowed' to mention without being called racist. he offends all these groups at any given time, then a nanosecond later he has a video that they will love!

I find it all hilarious. It is all infotainment and shouldn't be taken too seriously. I will say that no matter what in the moment attitude I have towards him I respect his work ethic.. It seems like he has 4 videos out a day,, he is first to post on all the various issues that go on in entertainment or twitter. Seems like the most tiring business of all time. This! Plus the fact that white people are really the only group to lash out in such a big way. Like, truly thinking about things historically, economically, socially even-no group of poc could effect(affect) the country as much. So,yes it's all of the above but it's specifically a "we aren't being heard because too much is changing. We don't have the upper ground/we don't have a say" and then electing officials who made them feel like their voice was being heard again, even though they'll get fucked in the end too.

I personally have this idea that poc, are just kinda used to things not turning out in a favorable way most of the time, so it's like "okay, now we gotta deal with this-we'll make it through".
