Back surgery

Has anyone ever had it done?

I've been out of work on disability due to a back injury for a little over a year and the physical therapy with back injections hasn't offered anything more than to lessen my pain, which is great, just not a solution.
so now I'll be going in for surgery on September 13th, hopefully I'll be, almost, as good as new afterwards.
